The most important thing to remember is that your knees hold most of your body weight during a majority of the day. Keeping weight off of your knees or lessening their activity is crucial especially if you are experiencing a lot of discomfort.
To relieve pain from knee grinding try the R.I.C.E method (Rest, Ice, Compression & Elevation). R.I.C.E is a great way to alleviate, reduce or eliminate pain in the knees. In addition over the counter medication (NSAIDS) can be of great relief as well.
